LAKETOWN SQUADRON ACQUIRE RETURNING PLAYER RIGHTS TO TREVON SCOTT

KENNER, La. – The Laketown Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, today announced the team has acquired the returning player rights to Trevon Scott and a first-round pick in the 2027 NBA G League Player Draft in a trade with the Long Island Nets.

Scott, a 6-8 forward, has appeared in 199 games during his NBA G League career from 2020-2026. In 47 games for the Long Island Nets during the 2025-26 season, the Cincinnati product averaged 12.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 27.9 minutes per game. The Brunswick, Ga., native has also appeared at the NBA level, making two appearances for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2021-22 season.

In addition to the returning player rights to Scott, the Squadron receive Long Island’s first-round pick in the 2027 NBA G League Player Draft (from Santa Cruz via Wisconsin). The draft will take place on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 12 p.m. CT.

As part of the deal, Long Island receives the returning player rights to guard Isaiah Wong.
