SQUADRON ACQUIRE RETURNING PLAYER RIGHTS TO AZIZ BANDAOGO FROM RAPTORS 905

KENNER, La. – The Laketown Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, today announced that the team has acquired the returning player rights to Aziz Bandaogo from Raptors 905 in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2027 NBA G League Player Draft.

Bandaogo, a 7-0 center, was selected second overall by Raptors 905 in the 2026 NBA G League International Draft this July. The Senegalese international spent his first professional season overseas after playing collegiately at Cincinnati during the 2024-25 season. In his second and final season with the Bearcats, Bandaogo started all 35 games and averaged 7.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game. Bandaogo also made stops at Akron and Utah Valley during his five-year collegiate career.

As part of the deal, Raptors 905 will receive Laketown’s first-round pick in the 2027 NBA G League Player Draft (from Long Island via Santa Cruz and Wisconsin). The Squadron recently acquired the pick in a trade with Long Island on Sept. 5.
